[2023/08/12 15:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: and with that said, more than one of you have commented about different options for your characters... different options are possible! Let me know, and we'll see what we can work out. You're not "stuck" with your characters.
[2023/08/12 15:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: moving on... this is where we stopped last night:
[2023/08/10 16:35] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "If we can guess the problem in three tries will you tell us the details?"
[2023/08/10 16:36] Sonja Bikergrrl: The barkeeper leans to one side, clearly reaching under the bar for something, while the others quickly finish their ales. "I think you best be leaving," the barkeeper says.
[2023/08/12 15:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: So, who's doing what? :)
[2023/08/12 15:52] Alicia Frakture: Leesha smiles ."Friendly group.. and I still havent gotten my DRINK!

[2023/08/12 15:54] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): /me looks to the barkeep, then back to her travelling companions. gathering up her things to get moving if the choice was made to go,
[2023/08/12 15:54] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben sighs, rubbing her forehead. She'd at least like to know what set these people off but apparently when a dwarf and a half-orc walks into a bar people assume the worst. She backs up a bit, her hands away from her weapon for now, visually checking around to see what the -rest- of the crowd is doing. Not that getting into a fight with the bartender -ever- ends well.
[2023/08/12 15:56] Sonja Bikergrrl: A voice from one corner of the room calls out: "Hey, is that you, Leesha?" You see a gnome waving a tankard, spilling a few drops of ale. "Haven't seen you for a while!" The barkeeper pauses. "You know these people, Cork?" he asks, surprised. "Know them?" the gnome replies. "I know Leesha, certainly. Don't go getting her mad - you saw that giant limping for a week, didn't you?"
[2023/08/12 15:59] Alicia Frakture: Leesha cant resist smiling."That wasn't me, that was Granny. I was the one clearing out that ogre gang
[2023/08/12 16:01] Sonja Bikergrrl: There's some mutters, mumbles and muffled laughter. The barkeeper starts pulling four tankards out. "Bad business going on," he says, shaking his head. "Bad business. Graves are being dug up and the bodies stolen... who'd do such a vile thing? Foul magic is about, mark my words."
[2023/08/12 16:03] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben relaxes significantly once she has a tankard in her hands to sip on. "That's part of the situation elsewhere too. A whole village not far from here decided to pick up and move their whole place because of it."
[2023/08/12 16:03] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): /me a gentle breath then sitting back down relaxed, "So were staying that is a relief, not ready to get going yet", she pulled some dried seeds from her pack, munching on them quietly watching , listening but most of all settling in a bit as the conversations went on around her. perking up hearing about necromancy again
[2023/08/12 16:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: There's a murmur of surprise at this news. A farmer pipes up: "It's the demons in the woods, I told you, I saw demons in the woods!"
[2023/08/12 16:05] Sonja Bikergrrl: Megan sits down gratefully with a tankard by the gnome. She nods to the barkeeper, at Leesha. "Ales are on her."
[2023/08/12 16:08] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Which type?" she asks of the farmer, looking up. Might as well segue into this.
[2023/08/12 16:08] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): /me with a quick turn towards the farmer she spoke again , in a calm way, "Demons, in the woods near here? What did they look like, did they have wings or did they walk as most beings do?", she had a genuine interest, looking towards her companions to see their reactions too
[2023/08/12 16:08] Alicia Frakture: Leesha nods "Yeah i got their ales." She paused as she sets payment on the bar. "Demons in the woods, and someone one stealing bodies. Hmm, Sounds like something that should be looked at." AS she draws her wrench and lightly taps her chin."You know someone should do something about that."
[2023/08/12 16:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: The farmer blinks at the sudden attention. "Type? The evil type! No wings that I could see, and what they lacked in size they made up in numbers. They were sneaking around, they're evil, I tell you, evil!"
[2023/08/12 16:10] Sonja Bikergrrl: The barkeeper takes 8 copper for the ales.
[2023/08/12 16:11] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "If you mean the goblins they're actually claiming they're willing to turn to good for the sake of their lives." She takes a sip of her ale. "The grave-digger mage has them very worried."
[2023/08/12 16:12] Alicia Frakture: Leesha give him a silver, Should mean a 2 copper tip
[2023/08/12 16:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: There's a general murmuring and muttering, the general tone of it being that this is all unnatural, an affront to the gods, and that good creatures wouldn't sneak in the darkness, and they should summon the Kings' men.
[2023/08/12 16:16] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "They're new to the whole good thing though. How are they to know what good is if no one teaches them?"
[2023/08/12 16:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: This gets another round of muttering, along the lines of "So they ARE evil!"
[2023/08/12 16:18] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben knees Leesha's leg hoping she has a bright idea on this angle.
[2023/08/12 16:19] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): /me taking another handful of seeds from her pack seeming to enjoy munching on them far more than drinking, she spoke up in a friendly way now, "Teaching the goblins of the different moral alignments of this world so they might make a choice and follow it with understanding would be a very good thing to do"
[2023/08/12 16:20] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at the barkeep. How about a deal, I, and my friends if they want go deal with the necophiliac and if we find any of those devils that actually wanna be good, we get to send them here to work and help out in the town."
[2023/08/12 16:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: Megan winces at the kick and than puts her hands together in a gesture of prayer, agreeing with Dahlia. "Indeed, as the Lady of Roses is my witness, in all things good, in all things bad, there must be balance in nature. We should not go against natures' way, lest the Lady of Roses causes your crops to stop sprouting. Indeed, we should help those unfortunates who need helping."
[2023/08/12 16:22] Sonja Bikergrrl: The barkeeper and the farmers all agree. "Aye... those who are good, very well and good... those who aren't, then, away with them!"
[2023/08/12 16:25] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: She nods. "A worthy project," she adds, getting into the groove of this moral argument. "They were hoping to discuss this properly later tonight."
[2023/08/12 16:26] Sonja Bikergrrl: The farmers reply to this with: "And bring whoever is disturbing the peace of the dead to justice!"
[2023/08/12 16:27] Alicia Frakture: Wait, actual justice or just stuff him in the hole he dug up?
[2023/08/12 16:27] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "In a hole he can't climb back out of, ideally."
[2023/08/12 16:27] Sonja Bikergrrl: The barkeeper says: "Just get rid of the foul monster!"
[2023/08/12 16:28] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): /me "Yes these devils in the wood, must be found and the mystery of how they arrived solved too. But the one disturbing graves is and should be the main focus as they are causing so much with their actions."
[2023/08/12 16:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia gets a round of "Aye!"s from the farmers in approval
[2023/08/12 16:30] Alicia Frakture: Leesha nods and takes a drink of her ale." I'm glad to help if I can."
[2023/08/12 16:30] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben claps, getting the crowd riled up and already thinking about what possible supplies or aid they could line up to actually deal with the darn necromancer.
[2023/08/12 16:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: The villagers are all generally approving, but in terms of actually going and facing monsters? you're on your own, there
[2023/08/12 16:34] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Gear though! If they have any sort of weapons that might be useful, that could be invaluable. Or information! Descriptions or even maps of the area. Any old houses or barns or caves that haven't been checked up on in a while?
[2023/08/12 16:35] Alicia Frakture: /me looks over at the two clerics. "Any ideas from you two?"
[2023/08/12 16:36] Sonja Bikergrrl: On that front, you won't get a huge amount; they're mere peasants, barely able to spare a knife, but if you want crops harvested, they're your serfs! Beyond vague reports of demons out at night, and graves being desecrated, there's not much else anyone can say. As for maps, bar a few trails the place is fields all round surrounded by a forest. There aren't any old houses in the immediate area, but out past the fields and in the forest? Maybe... who knows!
[2023/08/12 16:37] Sonja Bikergrrl: Megan looks out at the lengthening shadows. "I think our best chance is to get going and meet these good guys, so we at least got knowledgeable allies."
[2023/08/12 16:38] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "yes, and to make sure we all agree on the timing."
[2023/08/12 16:39] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): /me "Yes, I think we can check the forest where the sightings took place. Hopefully during the brightest part of the day so as to search more thoroughly with th ease of the suns light aiding us.", getting ready to get moving with the group again sensing we might be leaving very soon, "i agree, we should meet them, any allies gained is a good thing"
[2023/08/12 16:40] Alicia Frakture: Leesha finishes her drink."All right, let's get moving." She looks at the others, "You ready?"
[2023/08/12 16:40] Sonja Bikergrrl: So... going to have a little stroll in the woods...?
[2023/08/12 16:40] Alicia Frakture: /me nods."Yeah I think so."
[2023/08/12 16:41] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Yep, accepting any fruit they can spare but not delaying more than needed!
[2023/08/12 16:41] Sonja Bikergrrl: BONG! And on that, we come to the cliffhanger of what happens in the woods. Hopefully nothing -too- bad ;D
